Diners can 'have a ball' at testicle festival

The fundraising idea may seem a little nuts, but Oakdale's annual Testicle Festival is always a big hit. On Monday, volunteers with the town's Rotary Club plan to fry up 400 pounds of the private parts of bulls and serve them to diners who pay $50 apiece for the sit-down meal.

The event, whose proceeds also benefit the Oakland Cowboy Museum, has drawn an average of 450 people and last year raised $28,000.

AWWW come on. Don't knock until you 've tried it. I was the same way until I took a leap of faith and tried them in a restaurant in Colorado. Hell I even had my mother in law eat them.Of course I did tell her a little "white lie!" I told her it was unborn calf. She like it. Told her the next day after she warmed up the left overs! LOL. I wrote on here before letting everyone know that if you didn't know what you were eating and it was cooked right you'd swear you were eating breaded veal strips. People have to try new things. If you do and don't like it that's different. Where is your sense of adventure?? And they tasted good. I don't like cocktail sauce I had the tartar sauce.

Honestly though, if someone had given me a choice between unborn calf and bull junk, and put a gun to my head, I'd probably have to go with the junk. I'd be feeling all sorry for the calf ................
